Upon downloading or utilizing the Grayd app, you automatically agree to these terms. Please ensure you understand them fully before using the app.
It is prohibited to copy, alter, or engage in any activity that infringes on our intellectual property rights, which includes, but is not limited to, the app, its trademarks, and associated rights. Any attempt to derive the app's source code, translate it, or create derivative versions is strictly forbidden. All rights associated with the app, including its intellectual property, remain the exclusive property of Grayd.
The Grayd team aims to provide a proficient app for its users. We reserve the right to modify the app or introduce fees for specific features at any given time. We assure users that such changes or fees will be communicated transparently.
Grayd is designed so that requests are sent directly from the user's device to the school district's Home Access Center (HAC). We do not proxy, store, or maintain student grades or HAC credentials on Grayd servers. Limited information may be cached locally on the device to support features such as offline viewing. Any cookies or session data set by HAC are controlled by the HAC system; Grayd does not create or maintain server-side sessions for user access to HAC.
To help us identify crashes and reliability issues, Grayd uses an error-monitoring service. Diagnostic reports may include device/OS/app version, event timestamps, and minimal snippets of app state. When an HAC request fails, sanitized fragments of returned HTML may be included to reproduce the issue; we apply automated redaction to avoid personal data where feasible. These diagnostics are used solely for troubleshooting and are retained only temporarily.
You are responsible for securing your device (for example, using a passcode/biometrics) and for maintaining secure access to the app. Rooting/jailbreaking may compromise security and affect the app's functionality.
Some app features require an active internet connection, whether via Wi-Fi or cellular data. We aren't liable for any diminished app functionality due to lack of connectivity or depleted data allowances. Using Grayd without Wi-Fi could incur additional charges from your mobile service provider. You must be aware of and consent to any potential costs. If someone else pays your device bills, we'll assume you've obtained their permission to use the app.
Manage your device responsibly. If your device is inoperable due to a drained battery, preventing access to Grayd, we bear no responsibility.
While we strive for accuracy, the app relies on third-party sources (HAC/your district SIS) which may not always be up to date. We don't assume liability for adverse outcomes, direct or indirect, from your app reliance. Grayd operates independently and is not associated with, or sanctioned by, PowerSchool LLC or its related entities. "Home Access Center" is a trademark owned by PowerSchool.
Updates for Grayd might be rolled out. Although compatible with Android and iOS, platform requirements may change. Installing updates ensures continued app use. We might choose to discontinue the app, potentially without notice. On termination, any rights or licenses granted to you will cease. You must stop using the app and uninstall it if needed.
We might update these terms occasionally. Significant updates will be highlighted on this page. These terms are effective from the date listed above.
